Experts J'son " Partners Consulting divide the Internet-regulation market into two main segments: context and media.
The market for context advertising in Russia in 2014 was about 64 billion roubles, according to J'son ' s analysts. In its structure, the market for context advertising is divided among the three largest players: Yandex (more than 70 per cent), Google (more than 20 per cent), and (about 6 per cent).
Context advertising to date is the main driver of Internet relays, as opposed to the media segment, where the country ' s fragile economic situation has been severely affected. In this regard, large advertisers have moved most of their advertising budgets to a television advertisement.
J'son " Partners Consulting " estimates that media advertisements have slowed growth and some segments, such as banner advertisingshows negative dynamics. Overall, the media advertising market was 17 billion roubles in 2014. The largest players in this segment are the Yandex with 33% and 19% respectively.
In the longer term, J'son Partners Consulting forecasts to further increase the context advertising and decrease the share of the media segment.
It is worth noting, however, that the media advertising market includes one of the most dynamic developing segments, the video market.
